The Humblet family was looking for a place to develop a new brewery and continue the family tradition of Benoit Humblet. In 2011, they discovered the farmhouse at Bertinchamps, near Gembloux, well located but in ruins. Determined to rise to the challenge, they set about renovating it. After almost two years of work, the modern brewing system was installed in March 2013, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 hl.The brewery combines modern technology with eco-friendly processes, reusing steam to heat water and sending residues to a biological recycling plant producing methane gas converted into electricity. The beers, brewed without spices or aromatics, are made with malt, hops and water drawn from a depth of 67 meters. The capital 'B' on the labels stands for Bertinchamps, Beer, Belgium, and Benoit. The beers are packaged in sturdy, elegant 50 cl glass bottles, recalling Belgian authenticity. The 25 cl glasses encourage conviviality when sharing a 50cl bottle. In addition to beers, the son of the brewer, inspired by his fathers' brewing experience, is now producing a range of Farmed Gin&Tonic and spirits. Based on their farm in Bertinchamps, this new offering highlights local craftsmanship, environmental sustainability and a significant reduction in sugar, offering refined, authentic beverages for all quality lovers. In parallel, we offer a range of flavored artisanal sparkling waters sold under the Ose brand.
